(Macau).- Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) slipped 10.7 per cent year on year to about MOP3.9 billion (US$ 481 million) last month, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

October gross gaming revenue down 10.7 per cent year on year

The latest figures from DICJ show that the October result gained 31.6 per cent compared to a month earlier.

However, October’s MOP3.9 billion contrasted sharply with the same period in 2019, when DICJ logged gross gaming revenue of MOP26.4 billion, which means an 85-per cent fall.

As for the first ten months of the year, the gross gaming revenue combined plunged 50.5 per cent year on year to MOP35.7 billion.

The year-on-year fall of the monthly GGR has narrowed over the past few months in the lead-up to a much-anticipated return of tourists on package tours from across the border.
